The road I took

I took the road all travel by,
But never thought it as my own.
I rode my life piggyback,
Never did I chose to ride alone.

I blamed fate & destiny
for the road I took,
But never did I give
myself the introspective look,
for why it was this road I took.

Now it dawns on me,
the road I took
is the one for me,
And to keep looking back,
would decrease the tempo,
and lengthen the journey.
